We’re All Just People Handpainted Rotoscoped Animation

I created this project at 17 in response to a societal issue that affected me personally. It serves as a reminder that, regardless of our sexual orientation, we're all just people.

Hand-Painted Animation:
The Language of the Heart
To give the project a humanistic look and feel, I hand-painted each animated frame with acrylic paint on mylar. The project was animated at six frames per second to allow the eye to register the small details that make each painted frame unique. Brush strokes convey a sense of life, an effect achievable only through hand-painting.
